Sifumene and Yolisa knew each other during their varsity days. One message on 24 March 2018 became a friendship, a family and — on 28 February 2027 — a marriage.

Sifumene and Yolisa knew each other during their varsity days — and on 24 March 2018, a reply to a DM started the conversation that never stopped. “Sicko Mode” by Travis Scott soundtracked that year; it is still their anthem from that period.

First date at Sakura
Their first date was at Sakura, a sushi restaurant on Davenport Road in Durban. For eight months they were friends first — evenings of shared jokes, films and series, and plenty of RocoMamas.

Becoming a couple
Late in 2018 Yolisa moved to Centurion. Sifumene visited her there, and on 10 November 2018 they became a couple.

Lunathi arrives
Their son, Lunathi, was born on 25 January 2020 — the newest member of the crew that loves lamb, creamy seafood pasta and malva pudding.

The proposal
On their fourth anniversary, 10 November 2022, Sifumene proposed. Catching flights and feelings became catching forever.

uMembeso
Their uMembeso took place on 7 December 2024, joining their families in celebration.

The wedding
Sifumene and Yolisa marry at Bell and Blossom Wedding Venue in Pretoria, surrounded by the people they love.
